DISNEY’S “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” TO PERFORM OCT. 5, 6 AT LETU

(Longview, Texas) — LeTourneau University is pleased to present the national Broadway tour of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview.

Ticket prices range from $37 to $65, based on seating. Tickets may be purchased at www.BelcherCenter.com  or by phone at 903-233-3080.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” tells the story of a handsome prince whom  an enchantress transforms into a hideous beast. To become human again, the Beast must earn the love of a beautiful, young woman, Belle, he imprisoned in his castle. 

Directed by Rob Roth and choreographed by Matt West, the “Beauty and the Beast” musical has become an international sensation played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries.

It features the animated film’s Academy Award-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs and music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice.

The show is sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust.
