Union Grove to host 3-D tourney

Union Grove ISD Archery Club will host a 3-D tourney for all interested archers on Saturday, Sept. 21.

The tourney will be held at the school that morning (20-target course). There will be multiple divisions for every skill level. There will also be door prizes and an “Iron Rhino Contest,” La’Porte Sporting Disc Challenge, long-distance shot, hot dog lunch and more.

Arrive at 9 a.m. and begin shooting. 3-D shoot starts at 10 a.m.

As an added feature, Union Grove will have a 5-target automatic pop-up course with prizes and half the pot shooting.

Divisions include:

• Hunter Division, open to all ages, all bows.

• Traditional, open to all recurve and long-bow shooters.

• High School Division.

• Jr. High Division.

• Elementary Division.

Awards will be given for the top three shooters in each division, and the top 3-person team.
