WINONA - The Old Paths Quartet, who have recently been honored to have not one, but two number one songs at the top of the Singing News Top 80 chart, will be appearing in concert at First Baptist Church of Winona. The event will be held Friday, August 16th, beginning at 7:00 pm. The church is located at 212 Dallas Street (FM 16) in Winona.

Begun in Douglasville, Georgia in 2003 by Douglas Roark and Jeremy Rackley, who have been with the group throughout its tenure as baritone and lead singer respectively, Old Paths Quartet has seen their audience and their influence steadily climb with each passing year. In December of 2012, they had their first number one song, "Battle Stand", followed a few months later by their second number one with their current single, "God's Great".
In addition to Roark and Rackley, the group is joined on stage by tenor Jeremy Peace, formerly of the Kingsmen and bass singer Daniel Ashmore. When the group does a segment of live music in their programs, Peace can be found at the piano or bass guitar joined by their sound engineer Jeremy Chupp on drums. In addition, Ashmore occasionally plays the tenor saxophone.
Tony Watson, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Winona, says he is very excited to bring this great young group to East Texas. "I've had my eye on these guys for a few years now and have tried to bring them in. They don't get to Texas as much as some of the groups, but with their recent successes that is changing. They are, in my opinion, the quartet to watch right now. We would love to have a full house come and enjoy the music and ministry of Old Paths Quartet - young guys following the old path."
