DREAMers and Community Gather to Call on Rep. Doggett to Stop Deportation of Texas Mother
DREAMers, immigrant youth, and community leaders from Austin and their families will gather tomorrow, Tuesday, at10:30 a.m. to demand support from Congressman Lloyd Doggett to stop the deportation of Mara Veronica Ayala, a Texas mother of a three-year-old U.S. citizen, who is set to leave the country in two days. Veronica has been living in Texas since 2002, is a hard-working mother and needs to stay with her son Damian, who suffers from a speech delay problem.

The community is asking Congress to act now and stop the unnecessary separation of the the Ayala family, as well as calling for a clear path to citizenship for 11 million Americans without papers, including Veronica.
Tomorrow, more than one thousand petition signatures on behalf of Veronica will be delivered to Congressman Doggett, asking for his help stopping Veronica’s deportation and his support for immigration reform with citizenship at the center. You view the petition here.
