Pittsburg’s annual Pioneer Days is set for the third Saturday in September. Vendor applications are ready.

 

Annual Pioneer Days to bring thousands to Historic Downtown Pittsburg

 

PITTSBURG, TX July 17, 2012 – Plans for the annual Pioneer Days in Historic Downtown Pittsburg are underway. The Camp County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for booth spaces from vendors offering a wide variety of items from commercial products, arts, unique gifts to handmade crafts and food. Booth spaces are set up in a premium location in the street along Pittsburg’s Main Street area (Jefferson & Quitman Streets) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept, 21 only. There is also a food court area on Tapp Street, which is just off Jefferson Street, which remains open until 8 p.m.

 

Pioneer Days is estimated to attract upwards of 10,000 people. The festival set for Saturday, Sept. 21. The event features a hot dog lunch and ice cream on Friday, and a carnival on Friday and Saturday. Friday events include a health fair, senior citizens’ games, Art walk, sidewalk sales, and a wine tasting event.  Saturday’s events include the parade, a biker run, live entertainment, and more.

 

Booth spaces are 12-by-14 feet and water and electricity is available. Craft and novelty spaces are $50 if paid by Sept. 5 and $75 after Sept. 5. Food vendors’ spaces are $100 if paid by Sept. 5 and $125 after Sept. 5. The booth fee for nonprofit organizations is $30.
