Pool A of the Nike Football Festival will include three newcomers to the event: Gilmer (2012 State Runner-Up), Frisco Lone Star and Throckmorton (2012 State Champions!), as well as Denton.

Man Up and Show Up! 24 of the top schools across the Lone Star State will come together to compete in a variety of skills, including 7on7 as well as Quarterback, Kicking, Lineman and Hands-On Challenges, and a 40-Yard Dash to determine the fastest QB, Lineman and Skills Player at the event. An overall Team Champion will be awarded based on success in each of the various competitions.











 





 



Most all have a swagger ... 5 of 24 schools in the Nike Football Festival on Saturday either played for or won a State Championship last December in Texas: Allen is defending 5A, Div. I state champion; Cedar Hill is defending 5A, Div. II state runner-up; Denton Guyer is defending 4A, Div. I state champion; Gilmer is defending 3A, Div. II state runner-up; and Throckmorton is defending Class A (six man), Division I state champion.



Congratulations to the 24 high schools invited to participate in the 2013 Nike Football Festival: Allen, Arlington (2011 NFF champion), Austin Westlake, Cedar Hill, Coppell, Dallas Skyline, Denton, Denton Guyer, DeSoto (defending champion), Euless Trinity, Frisco Lone Star, Gilmer, Hebron, Highland Park, Hurst LD Bell, Irving, Irving MacArthur, McKinney Boyd, Plano East, Prosper, Richardson Pearce, Rockwall Heath, South Oak Cliff and Throckmorton.
