Jarvis Christian College’s Summer Program Targets First-Time Frehsmen

First-time freshmen can get a jump start on the fall semester through the Advanced Summer

Enrichment Program (ASEP) at Jarvis Christian College. ASEP is a six week program that helps

freshmen to bridge the gap between high school and college through academic course work,

enrichment activities, and building relationships with students, faculty and staff. The program also

offers instruction and tutoring.

Program participants will invest six weeks of their summer to the program and get a huge return in

the end. Through the program, students can earn six hours of college credit, receive academic

advising, get tutoring, and experience living on campus.

The ASEP program starts on June 9 and ends on July, 19, 2013. There is an application fee of $50

and a housing fee of $200. For additional information call 903-730-4890, Ext. 2202.

Jarvis Christian College is a historically Black liberal arts, baccalaureate, degree-granting institution

affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The mission of the College is to prepare

students intellectually, socially, spiritually, and personally to pursue professional and graduate studies

and productive careers, and to function effectively in a global and technological society.
