and Bell Ringers Scholarship Luncheon

Jarvis Christian College will host the 7


Annual Dr. John Dee Mangram Ministers’ Conference on

April 9 and 10, 2013, on campus at the J. N. Ervin Religion and Culture Center. The conference

honors Dr. John D. Mangram and his more than 50 years of service in the training of ministers. This

year’s theme is: Feed My Sheep: A Call for Loving Pastors.

The public is invited to register online at www.Jarvis.edu and come to hear powerful speakers like

Dr. Denny Davis, pastor, St. John Church, Grand Prairie, Texas; Rev. Sedaric Dinkens, Sedaric

Dinkens Ministries, Dallas, Texas; Rev. Clarence Preston, pastor, Beth-Eden Baptist Church, Dallas,

Texas; and Rev. John D. Godfrey, pastor, New Forest Church, Houston, Texas provide insight on

the call of God for the loving pastor.

Dr. Mangram, also known as, “The Preachers Teacher,” is a 1941 graduate of Jarvis Christian

College. Since the inaugural conference, more than 20 students have received over $40,000 in tuition

assistance through the scholarship that bears his name and pays tribute to his legacy of scholarship,

leadership and service.
