E-mail Marketing Boot Camp set for April 3
The KCSBDC and Longview Economic Development Corporation will offer a new, one-day marketing course, “E-mail Marketing Boot Camp.”
This course is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the Hampton Inn North, located at 3044 N. Eastman Road in Longview.
Fee to attend is $199 which includes lunch.
This hands-on workshop will teach how to create and establish an effective e-mail marketing campaign that gets the bottom-line results businesses are looking for.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of developing professional e-mails that complement traditional and social media marketing efforts, support an organization's goals, and strengthen customer relationships.
An expert from Constant Contact, a world-renowned e-mail marketing program, will demonstrate how to use Constant Contact e-mail marketing.
Participants will learn how to use Constant Contact to create, execute and refine e-mail marketing communications for small businesses, nonprofits or associations.
Before the class, participants are asked to create a free Constant Contact trial account at www.ConstantContact.com and bring a Wi-Fi enabled laptop to the class fully charged.

How to Read Financial Statements set for April 10
The KCSBDC and Kilgore Economic Development Corporation will host a one-day seminar for all small business owners and entrepreneurs in East Texas, “How to Read Financial Statements.”
The class is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Synergy Park Training Facility, located at 1001 Synergy Blvd., Suite 100 in Kilgore.
Fee for the class is $239 which includes lunch.
The course will teach the importance of knowledge of business costs, revenue and value.
Participants are encouraged to bring current profit/loss and balance sheets (or use one supplied the day of the class) to see what is important on these monthly documents.
The course will also discuss what banks require for loan applications, financial ratios, tools for increasing revenue, cost reduction strategies, and much more.
Class instructor will be Dr. Ron Collier, President of Collier Consulting Group.
Advanced Business Operations course set for April 12
The KCSBDC and Marshall Economic Development Corporation are teaming up with Capital One Bank to host a new follow-up workshop, “Business Operations.”
This free one-day training is set for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 18 at the Marshall Center for Applied Technology, located at 2660 E. End Blvd. South.
Registration is required by Friday, April 12, for lunch.
This course will take small business topics discussed in the eight-week course, “How to Start and Operate a Business in East Texas,” to an advanced level.
It is intended for people, who have completed this course in the past, are currently enrolled or who would like a better knowledge on credit, business plans and financing for small businesses.
This seminar will allow numerous small business owners to receive a specialized session covering the following: establishing and maintaining your credit; what the lender sees; business plan preparation; applying for SBA guaranteed and conventional loans; and determining cash flow for debt service and analyzing cash flow in operations.
