Gilmer ISD will celebrate Texas Public Schools Week from March 18 to 22 with a variety of activities. As part of this celebration, parents and community members are invited to participate in campus events. 

Gilmer Elementary will host “Bring Your Parents to School” according to the following schedule: 

• PreK and Kindergarten— Tuesday, March 19, from 7:20 to 8:30 a.m. 

• 1st and 2nd grade—Wednesday, March 20, from 7:20-8:30 a.m. 

• 3rd and 4th grade—Thursday, March 21, from 7:20-8:30 a.m. 

Gilmer Intermediate will have “Donuts with Dads” Friday, March 22, from 7:30 to 8 a.m. 

On Monday, March 18, 6th graders will meet with the BJHS  principal  and  counselor  concerning course selection for the 2013-2014 school year. 

Gilmer Bruce Junior High will celebrate with a STAAR Burst Party Thursday, March 21, from 4 to 5 p.m. Hot dogs will be served and the Art Department  will  showcase  artwork done by BJHS students. 

Parents will meet with high school counselors in the BJHS Cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. about the 2013-2014 school year. 

Gilmer High School—Friday, March 22, baseball and softball games at 4:30 p.m.
