As more and more paranormal reality shows pop up on TV channels like the Discovery Channel, A&E, TruTV, and SyFy, Americans have found a new fascination with the unknown, unseen, and unexplained. Ghost hunters, Bigfoot enthusiasts, and UFO watchers have made themselves known in all communities, from all walks of life. What was once considered “crazy” and “weird” is now accepted and even revered. In today's, more open-minded world, paranormal is the new normal.
Responding to this new atmosphere of willingness to suspend disbelief, Jericho's Tours of Tyler has partnered with Another Paranormal Society, Paranormal Observers of East Texas, Holiday Inn, and the Tyler Civic Theater to bring Tyler's First Annual Paranormal Conference into being. After researching the most popular topics in the paranormal community, leading speakers on these subjects have been gathered to appear and lecture at the conference. World-famous experts like Ken Gerhard, the recognized leader in cryptozoology, and Mitchel Whitington, owner of one of the world's most haunted homes, will be in attendance. Local legends such as Arleen Gregg, the spiritualist, and Mike McCaskill, the speaker for the dead, will also be there. Psychic Judy Griffin and ghost hunters Brandy Rice and Brandy Logan, leaders in their fields, will make appearances. Texas' most respected UFO researcher Sunny Williams and amateur Bigfoot hunter Ron Smith will speak as well.
The conference will be on Saturday, April 20th. It will begin with a continental breakfast at 7am and will continue till 5pm with each speaker having lecture time. A complimentary lunch will be provided. Participants will meet again at 10pm and go on an overnight ghost hunt with qualified paranormal researchers.
