Texas Mutual $100,000 check presentation set for Monday on Kilgore campus

The Kilgore College Risk Management Institute will be funded in 2013 for the sixth-straight year by Texas Mutual Insurance Company.


The public is invited to the $100,000 check presentation and reception set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, on the second floor of the Stewart H. McLaurin Administration Building, 1103 S. Henderson Blvd., on the Kilgore campus.


Texas Mutual Insurance Company is the state’s leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance.


The $100,000 grant allows KC to offer free safety education for employers and employees to help prevent workplace accidents and saves lives.


The free KC safety classes for spring 2013 include OSHA 10 and 30-hour training for construction and general industry. 


Students who complete these courses receive official OSHA training cards.
