The Casey Donahew Band's release DOUBLE WIDE DREAM debuted at #2 on the iTunes Country chart and #10 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart
When Casey Donahew formed his band ten years ago and began playing the circuit, he had no idea he would soon be playing some 200 dates a year to packed houses of up to 12,000 people at venues like Grand Prairie’s Lone Star Park and Billy Bob’s Texas, debuting on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart with his latest CD DOUBLE WIDE DREAM or following in the footsteps of artists like Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, and the Randy Rogers Band, all of whom he used to follow from date to date on the road as a teen. The Texas native grew up riding rodeo and began writing songs in high school, giving him plenty of material for the four albums he’s already released to date, including the critically acclaimed, MOVING ON, his last CD. The album has been described by Texas Music Magazine as “a vibrant collection matching eternally restless anthems against enraging narratives; it rattles and rolls and rumbles like a youthful Robert Earl Keen fronting Reckless Kelly.” The Band continues to rack up fans all over the Lone Star state and beyond, and in true cowboy form, Donahew humbly defers when asked to explain his growing rock-star appeal. “I think we’re just believable,” Casey explains. “We’re not trying to be somebody we’re not. We’re just normal guys, you can tell. And people see that and respond to it.”
