HAWKINS, TEXAS – Jarvis Christian College is setting the bar higher for its 9th Annual Masquerade Ball. The College’s signature fundraising event for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) features KLTV Anchor Dia Wall as mistress of ceremonies, a superb meal, George Faber and Friends with live band entertainment, the crowning of the King and Queen and more. With a Mardi Gras theme and a fundraising motive, the evening promises to be fun with a flair!

The UNCF provides operating funds for Jarvis Christian College and 37 other member Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), scholarships and internships for students in about 900 institutions and faculty and administrative professional training. The UNCF has distributed more funds to help minorities attend school than any entity outside the U.S. Government.


Since 1912, Jarvis Christian College has been preparing students intellectually, socially, spiritually and personally to pursue professional and graduate studies and productive careers. The historically black liberal arts, baccalaureate degree granting institution, affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is located in Hawkins, Texas.
