The Gilmer Buckeyes, champions of District 16-3A, won a bi-district game against the Canton Eagles, District 15-3A second seed, Thursday night at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler.

The Buckeyes will play the Atlanta Rabbits in the Area round of the Class 3A Division II playoffs on Friday night, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. Atlanta routed Wills Point, 72-32, at Lobo Stadium in Longview Friday night.

Gilmer is now 10-1. Canton finishes at 8-3.
