LONGVIEW—LeTourneau University’s Center for Faith and Work will present Alan Barnhart to speak in chapel at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center on the LETU campus, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave.  The public is invited.

Barnhart is CEO of Barnhart Crane, which is one of the most successful crane and rigging companies in the world that moves everything from space shuttles to nuclear turbines.  Founded in 1969, Barnhart Crane has been providing innovative solutions to complex lifting and transportation challenges faced by heavy industry.  With over 20 branches across the United States, Barnhart has one of the strongest equipment networks in the nation.

Alan Barnhart is LETU’s first Center for Faith & Work Executive in Residence and also is speaking at the Nov. 8 Work as Worship Conference in Dallas, where LETU is an event sponsor.

“We want LeTourneau students to learn about the integration of faith and work from business leaders like Alan Barnhart,” said Bill Peel, Center for faith & Work Executive Director.  “He uniquely embodies the commitments of university founder R.G. LeTourneau, commitments to excellence in business, to a deep faith, and to generosity in giving.”

Consistently recognized by industry peers for exceptional performance, Barnhart believes the work they do matters to God.  They have built their company on the commitment to excellence, innovation, profitability, and yet also believe in supporting missions through their company profits.
