A birthday celebration was held at Tumbleweed Steakhouse in Gladewater on May 20 in honor of Jane Bumgarner’s 90th birthday.

Jane is the wife of the late Joe Bumgarner, who died in December 2007.

They moved to this area in February 1967 and began their lives as ranch owners, after 30 years of military service.

The party room was beautifully decorated with lots of fresh flower arrangements and balloons, etc.

A large number of Jane’s friends and family were there to help her celebrate, some she hadn’t seen for years.

Among those attending were Dr. Kenneth Skipper, and out-of-town attendees were Pat and Sue White, Clovis and Joan Kennington, Darwin and Joyce Wright, Lillian Malone and son Jeff, Juanita Meeks, Mary Corley, Roberta Eakin, Nancy Sague, and Faye Venable (Jane’s sister) and husband Don, and many friends from the surrounding area.

Jane really appreciates everyone attending and making her birthday extra special and happy — one she will never forget.
