Evergreen is proud to announce, Alicia Johnson as the Executive Director of the North Central
Texas Division of the organization. Evergreen is comprised of 13 divisions over a six state
region. The leadership at the division level has been modified since the hiring of the new
President of Evergreen, Sue Buchholtz. Mrs. Buchholtz says, “Each division had a Division
Director under the previous organizational structure. Under the current restructuring of the
organization, it is important that the leader in each division function as an Executive Director of
a non-profit; to ensure stronger accountability and in the long run offer even better services to the
individuals we serve.”
Mrs. Johnson earned a Bachelor’s degree from North Texas University and has worked for
Evergreen for 14 years. Mrs. Johnson has grown her division during her tenure as Division
Director. In her new role as Executive Director, she has even greater responsibilities to further
the mission of Evergreen in the North Central Texas Division, which covers the Dallas/Fort
Worth area. The North Central Texas Division employs over 200 staff members and provides an
array of services and programs to over 200 adults with developmental disabilities, including
community homes, adult day/vocational training, supported independent living, and many more
innovative services to assist individuals with disabilities, build better lives.
Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to
over 1,000 individuals with developmental disabilities in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas,
Tennessee and Kentucky. The mission of Evergreen is to help the individuals we serve build
better lives.
