Farmers' Market opens

BRINGING FRESHLY-DUG potatoes to the Farmers’ Market Saturday (June 7) are John and Aja McCellon of Bettie. John grows his produce at the land in Simpsonville owned by his grandmother, Frances Moon. The market will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday until August. Available Saturday were fresh eggs, blackberries, onions, both yellow crockneck and zucchini squash, pinto beans, gourds, cabbage, tomatoes, watermelons, canteloupe, green beans, Irish and redskin potatoes, corn meal and canned items.
