I just got out of the hospital yesterday from getting my blood transfusion. I was unable to wait for my scheduled hospital visit so I went in through the emergency room. When I returned home I learned that only 2 hours after Ace’s release from jail the Gilmer Boating and Fishing Club was already harassing him by driving by to see what was going on and calling the employer of one our friends in an attempt to cause him trouble on his job. This happened when our friend was kind enough to give Ace a ride home. The club called Gilmer Cable Company complaining that one of their trucks was at our home. Our friend has no transportation of his own, so his employer has been kind enough to allow him the use of his Company truck. This truck has been at my home a countless number of times and the club has known it is our friend for quite some time. They only did this in an attempt to cause trouble for us and our friend. After their complaint the cable company took the truck away from him and told him that the club has friends in high places in Upshur County and they were afraid they may make trouble for their business. . They even threatened to have the truck impounded. This young man has a four year old son to support and care for. This kind of behavior is what is known as hate crimes and the club conducts itself in this manner on a continuous basis. Because of behavior of this kind most of our friends and family will no longer come to our home, which appears to be the clubs hateful intent.
Larry is still in the hospital and is having trouble recuperating from his open heart surgery, but still doing OK. I hope he gets better before I am forced to remove him from my home. We still have not found a place for him to live. If any of you have any suggestions please let us know. Please no haters who want to suggest jail or who have any other outrageously hateful comments.
Goodbye for now. I will try to keep you informed and let you know how things are going.
