Dallas, TX): This 4th of July, the Miss Texas Scholarship Foundation and Warrior Gateway, an award winning national nonprofit supporting the military community, will join forces to recognize those who have paid the ultimate price in service to the country through a scholarship presentation in honor of Sgt. Kimberly Diane Agar. Miss Texas Pageant and Warrior Gateway invite the community to stream the award ceremony live starting on July 4th at 6:30pm CDT at: http://www.productionhost.com/

On 4th of July, Warrior Gateway in partnership with the Miss Texas Scholarship Foundation will present the 2013 Little Miss Texas Sweetheart, Ashley Nicole Monczynski, with a college scholarship in honor of former Miss Teen Texas contestant, Sergeant Kimberly Diane Agar at the Miss Texas Pageant on Thursday evening. Sergeant Kimberly Agar, bravely served in the US Army until her death in late 2011. Warrior Gateway Ambassador and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, Tim Stroud will be presenting Monczynski, whose father died while serving in mid-2001, with the scholarship.

"We are excited to be partnering with the Miss Texas Scholarship Foundation and all of the contestants as they honor one of their own this Independence Day." said Warrior Gateway CEO, Devin B. Holmes "This outstanding organization and the young women who compete are leaders in their communities and Warrior Gateway is proud to support a scholarship in honor of one of our fallen that will help Ashley pursue her college dream."

As the country celebrates the nation's independence this weekend, this partnership will serve as a reminder to celebrate the honor and sacrifice of those who secure and protect the country's freedoms and the families they have left behind. The partnership between these dynamic organizations not only honors Sgt. Agar and the Monczynski family but also exemplifies the possibility for positive change when individuals and organizations connect with those outside their typical community of friends and collaborators.
