The Upshur County Shares Food Pantry will operate the parking on Cass St. north of the First Baptist Church during the Yamboree, a half-block from the carnival on the square in Gilmer.

All parking fees taken in will go to buy food for the people in Upshur County who are clients of the Pantry.

Mel Small, coordinator of the Pantry, asks all who can help to come to the Pantry Monday from 9 a.m. to noon to volunteer. If you are not able to help, park with them, because the parking fees will go to a good cause.

The Pantry will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 17, as the Yamboree begins.
