Where does your House Representative stand? Many House Republican Representatives are making the pledge. (See Rep. James Frank, Rep. Ron Simmons, and many others - Facebook.)

On Nov. 1, Republican Party Chairman James Dickey said the candidates for Speaker of the House that have contacted him, have pledged to support a Republican House Caucus procedure to pick a candidate for Speaker and support the Speaker candidate chosen by the Caucus body.  Dickey also mentioned a letter Representative James Frank (R - Wichita Falls) has in his possession that has been signed by 40 plus Republican House members, all of whom, have made the pledge. Clearly, these Texas strong Republican Representatives are standing firm and united.

What is the pledge?
To support the Republican House Caucus in creating a procedure to determine the Republican candidate for Speaker of the House AND to support the Speaker candidate chosen by the House Caucus. Has your Representative taken this pledge?

Remember the infamous "Band of 11" Republicans, in 2009 that crossed party lines to align with 68 Democrats in choosing Joe Straus as the Speaker of the House?  Senate District 1 had one Republican side with the Democrats; Tommy Merritt, Former House Representative for District 7.
