LET'S GO OUT to the ball game. On Sunday, Sept. 30, several Upshur Manor residents took in a Texas Rangers game in Arlington. The Rangers were playing the Los Angeles Angels. While the Rangers lost, the Upshur Manor residents and staff still had a great time taking in a day at the ball park. And they lucked out with the weather. It rained on the way to the game and on the return trip to Gilmer, but the rain held off during the game. Pictured here from left are Upshur Manor residents Lindy Murrell and Charles Russell and nurse Kim Dabney (center). Not pictured is resident Erik Alaniz. Prior to the game, Mr. Russell wrote several of the players, letting them know that Upshur Manor residents would be in attendance at the game. Residents were thrilled when they arrived and were each presented with a complimentary Texas Rangers ball cap. The game will be remembered by residents for years to come!
