Upshur County Hope House for Pets has finally received its 501(c)3 status, thanks to the hard work of Daphne Grimes, CPA, her assistant Liz, Teresa Hebebrand, Anita Smith, Michelle Enloe, Dr. Cherie Nazzal, Ann Marie Hamilton, and many other hard working volunteers.  It has taken over a year but we can finally get moving with plans to form this worthwhile no-kill animal facility.
As you may know, Hope House is holding a fundraiser entitled "Have-A-Heart" February 15, 2014, at Flying Feather Ranch on 300, location donated by Alicia Nolte. We are holding a ticket sale contest. The member that sells the most tickets will win their choice of either a $100 Wal-Mart gift card or a $100 voucher for an evening at Los Pinos Ranch Vinyards in Pittsburg.
If you are interested in joining the contest, or if you'd simply like to buy tickets for yourself or learn more about the fundraiser, please contact us by email or call 903-734-4909. A flyer for the event is attached. The date on the flyer is not supposed to be 2015 so please change the flyer to 2014, (next month). If you would like poster-sized copies to display in a store front, please let us know.
Finally, for those of you who want to be members or who have not yet renewed your membership for 2014, our annual membership drive is going on now. You'll also find the new membership forms attached. There are several levels of dues from $25.00 up.
We look forward to your continued support, and we hope to see you at Have-A-Heart! Please help us with this project to start housing homeless animals.
