UT System Chancellor Bill McRaven staying put into 2018 — without a contract

University of Texas System Chancellor Bill McRaven will remain in his job beyond the expiration of his contract at the end of the month, but regents have no intention of renewing his annual contract. Instead, like most of the other UT System employees, he'll work with no written employment contract.
