Two high-performance sales, management seminars set for this month

 

The Kilgore College Small Business Development Center and Longview Economic Development Corporation will offer two new seminars this month for business sales forces and managers.

 

The first seminar, “High Performance Sales Training: Learn to Crush Your Competition!” is set for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at LEDCO, 410 N. Center Street.

 

Fee to attend is $99.

 

Topics discussed will cover key techniques to make a sales team more effective including the sales cycle, defining your market, referrals and closing the deal.

 

The second seminar, “Leading the Lazy,” is set for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, 100 Grand Blvd.

 

Fee to attend is $79 and lunch will be provided.

 

John Grubbs, founder of the company GCI, will instruct the class. GCI is an international training and consulting firm with clients around the world.

 

Grubbs will explain why the management techniques of the past simply will not suffice and share evidence of how a younger workforce will impact every business. 

 

Seating is limited and early registration is recommended for both classes.
