Gilmer Intermediate School and Gilmer Bruce Junior High held their Science Fairs last week.

The overall winner of the Gilmer Intermediate Science Fair was Colby Gipson with his project, “Super Enzymes.”

Along with Colby, the following students will be advancing to the Regional level: Rayce Meritt, Derrick Corcoran, Landry Henson, Marcie Garner, Jennifer Salkeld, Caleb McClelland, Cole Easley, Maci Teague, Jeremy Dawson, Paige Williams, Zack Thompson, Tori Easley, Megan Plunk and Riley Meritt.

Gilmer Bruce Junior High Science Fair winners are 1st place, Jaidon Parrish and Bryce Tomlin, with their project, “How Does Spin Affect Ball Flight?” ; 2nd place, Courtney Gipson; 3rd place, Garrett Parish and Sassy (Katelynn) Meadows; 4th place, Hailey Langford; and 5th place, Steven Holeman.

The Gilmer Intermediate and Bruce Junior High students who placed in the Science Fair will advance to the East Texas Regional Science Fair on Friday in Kilgore.
