The Gilmer Buckeyes are going to the state championship game in Class 3A for the fifth time in school history and for the fourth time since 2004 after a resounding 50-7 victory over the Graham Steers at Vernon Newsom Stadium in Mansfield Friday night.

The Buckeyes (14-1) will travel to Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Friday to take on the Navasota Rattlers (15-0) for the state championship in Class 3A Division II. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Dec. 21. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Southwest.
