SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas – Legacy Ag Credit (Legacy) Chief Executive Officer Derrell W. Chapman recently announced that the rural lending cooperative has hired two relationship managers, Heather Baugh and Terrie Christophersen.

Baugh joined Legacy’s Longview branch with more than 22 years of diversified banking experience, including branch management, consumer and commercial lending, and small business relationship management. She graduated from high school in Anna, Texas, and attended Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant. She and her husband, Vance, have lived in Gilmer for 28 years, and have three children, Jaide, Harrison and Reaghan. A member of Glade Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, Baugh enjoys spending her time with family and serving people.

Christophersen works out of the Gilmer branch office, and brings over 14 years of Farm Credit experience to the co-op. Born and raised in Amarillo, she moved to northeast Texas in 2001. She currently resides in Red River County with her two children, Cooper and Payton, and will soon relocate to the Mt. Vernon area to be closer to her customers. Christophersen enjoys being active in the community and being involved in her children’s rodeo and high school activities.

“Both Heather and Terrie are a good fit for our cooperative,” said Chapman. “They bring a wealth of banking and rural lending experience to our team that will benefit our association and our member-owners.”

Legacy is a part of the Farm Credit System, a nationwide network of rural financing cooperatives. It has been providing financing to farmers, ranchers and rural landowners in Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Hopkins, Kaufman, Marion, Rains, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties for over 100 years. The co-op’s lending offices are located in Sulphur Springs, Canton, Gilmer, Kaufman and Longview.
