Please vote next week to enable Texas to take national leadership

We in Texas should take the lead in nullification of unconstitutional acts by our federal government and enforce the U.S. Constitution as the supreme law of the land.

The rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court are not the supreme law of the land.  Laws made by the House and Senate and signed by the President are not the supreme law of the land.  The acts and actions of the President or any administrative agency are not the supreme law of the land. Treaties made by the President and ratified by the Senate are not the supreme law of the land at any time, never superior to the U.S. Constitution.

Please see the Federalist Papers for a complete explanation from the founders themselves and what they intended when they wrote Article V and Article VI of our U.S. Constitution.  If the supreme law of the land was to be changed, there are processes for doing so with the consent of “We the People” … not the federal government.

Every law, every regulation and every rule that is between the supreme law of the land and "We the People" that is contrary to the U.S. Constitution is outside of the law … that means “illegal.”

Why should we in Texas lead America on the way back? Because we in Texas understand duty, selflessness and sacrifice.  Because we in Texas understand honor and the cost of the 700,000 veterans who have paid for the supreme law of the land.

There may be a day when we actually arrest judges who break constitutional laws and try them in higher courts or try them in our Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (the highest court in Texas for criminal activity).

If we do not return to federal lawful conduct, we might need to ignore laws that violate our U.S. Constitution, consider non-violent civil disobedience, and actually argue the constitutional conflicts in our own courts.

I encourage you to please prepare for these potential eventualities by choosing wisely this week in four very important, very powerful statewide elections for Texas leaders who need to be able to work solidly together:

1. Attorney General,
2. Railroad Commissioner,
3. Land Commissioner, and
4. Agricultural Commissioner.

Any crack in any of these leaders and the entire wall of resistance will be useless.

Please do not forget to elect someone to the U.S. Senate who can attack communism at the roots, philosophically, intellectually, practically and historically … someone who has already taken an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic--and meant it.

Reid D. Reasor, Lt Col (Ret) USAF
U.S. Senate Candidate (R) Texas
