Dear Mac,

With our first UNSCENE! event out of the way, the SRAC staff has decided to fill the void with art openings, Zombie Walks, and a Vegas Halloween bash so HOT you'll be lucky to leave with your shirt!
SRAC Celebrates the best of Bossier Art Council's Digifest!

Thursday, October 17

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Many applied to DigiFest's 2013 Art Competition, but only a few are named DIGIBEST!  In the categories of Art Film, Architectural/ Drafting, Animation, Interactive/Website/App, Digital Photography, Innovative, Student Work, & Graphics eleven works were chosen by BAC judges Ben Hickey (Masur Museum of Art Curator), Pam Glorioso (Bossier City Film Commisioner), Matt DeFord  (Coordinator for Art at Northwestern State University).

Come to the Engine Room @ the Central ARTSTATION on Thursday, October 17 at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and show your support for the collaboration between the Bossier Arts Council and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council Thursday night as we celebrate winners Lance Jones, Zachary McCauley, Dan Hignight, Stephanie Fernandez, Rex C. Patton, Katie LeJeune, Mollie Corbett, Casey Jones, Jennifer Robison, Matthew Muhitch & Nick Fechter.

Thursday, October 17 @ artspace

World Zombie Day is celebrated downtown on a Third Thursday in a strangely horrific way! Come dressed to kill or use our Zombie dressing & manufacturing facility and professional ghoul artists at artspace.

Live music, contests, and more.

Trolleys will be available so that in-between shambles, zombies can go scare people all over downtown, a once in a 'life'-time opportunity. We will be collecting food for the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank and each participant is asked to bring a non-perishable donation (no canned brains, please.)

ADMISSION: Free and open to all ages.

ArtScare 2013: VIVA LOST VEGAS

October 25

What happened in Vegas STAYED in Vegas.  The Nuclear Fallout from atomic bomb tests of the 1950's finally took its toll on Sin City. Share your special glow with Zombie Showgirls, double down with our specialty cocktail at the bar, and then win big at our buffet table!  Extended exposure may leave you with a Hunk-a Hunk-a Burning Love at our Elvis Wedding Chapel. Lounge with The Good News downstairs and join the I-97 Rat Pack upstairs as they share their "tails" with you while crooning along with Scare-e-o-kee!  It's going to be a howl.   You can bet your life on it.
