Festival Announces Top Chefs from Mississippi, Louisiana & Tennessee
& Top Wine, Beer Beverage and Food brokers will be participating for the 2014 event
Natchez, MS: The Natchez Food & Wine Festival is proud to announce the 2014 Schedule of Events and participating Chefs, Restaurants, Food Purveyors and Wine & Beverage Brokers. The Natchez Food and Wine Festival in its 14th consecutive year, will host Chef John Folse and his team along with 30 chefs from favorites such as Parlor Market, Walkers, Acme Oyster House, Drago’s, Galatoire’s, Cotton, Sylvain, The Besh Group -Restaurant August, SOFAB/Purloo, St. James Cheese, Dunleith-The Castle, The Carriage House Restaurant, Rolling River Bistro and many more!
The Natchez Food and Wine Festival is a weekend for food and wine enthusiast to gather for individual events. The schedule consists of several different types of events that are tailored for specific palates and interests. It begins on Friday evening with “Tastings Along the River” at the Natchez Convention Center, followed by a full day of events on Saturday of presentations, demonstrations, tastings and incredible dining experiences in historic unique settings. The festival wraps up on Sunday with a Jazz Brunch at The Carriage House Restaurant on the grounds the majestic Stanton Hall.
The Natchez Food and Wine Festival is just another unique way for visitors to experience Natchez, Mississippi. Natchez has wonderful hotels, Bed & Breakfasts and riverfront properties for guests to enjoy and historic streets and walking trails to explore.
Natchez is the oldest permanent settlement on the Mississippi River and will celebrate a major milestone in history in 2016 as it turns 300 years old! Natchez has over 500 antebellum (pre-civil) war structures still remaining and boast several National Historic Landmarks of which you will have the opportunity to dine and visit. For centuries, Natchez and its visitors have indulged in the world’s finest wines, foods and delicacies and the Natchez Food and Wine Festival is our way to continue that tradition.
Natchez Food and Wine Festival has been named as one of Mississippi’s top festival events. It has grown from 100 attendees to over 800. The event is co-chaired by Rene’ Adams, Lyn Fortenbery and a group of local volunteers make it happen.
