Luncheon held to introduce new Gilmer teachers

AT THE ANNUAL LUNCHEON for business leaders and the teachers new to the Gilmer Independent School District on Wednesday, Aug. 6, Supt. Rick Albritton introduced the various campus principals who in turn introduced their new teachers. Gilmer Elementary, with over 1,000 students from pre-K through 4th grade, has the largest number of total teachers of any campus and also the largest number of new teachers. Seated are new high school teachers, from left, Stephanie Robinson, Karen Ender, Heather Bates, Ruben Gonzales, Nathan Simmons, Jennifer Fields, Kara Contreras, James McCouley, Rochell Johnson and Colton Bunn. The Intermediate School and Bruce Junior High new teachers are, second row, Meagan Tevebaugh, Tiara Whitsell, Cory Robinson, Shanda Ashby, Erica Dangel, Brad Armendariz, Sunshine Armendariz, Cathleen Broussard, Katie Baker, Cheyanne Gage, Jennifer Rucker, Sarah Thompson, Brandy Clark, Greg Harrison and Jeremy Mitchell. Teaching at Gilmer Elementary will be, third row, Susan Carter, Tabitha Lair, Hartsel McCellon, Jennette Branum, Leslie Jordan, Morgan Shepard, Gina Rodriguez, Angela Harrison, Christy Davis, Kristy Davis, Lisa Lancaster and Ashlie Tiscornia and, fourth row, Mike Bradshaw, Brandon Williams, Marianne McBride, Pamela Vallance, Karen Frederick, Becky Armstrong, Sylvia Cummings, Carol Brock, Austin Hallonquist and Olan Johnson. First day of school is Aug. 25.
