AUSTIN, TX -- Monday, October 22, marks the first day of early voting for the 2012 General Election in Texas. Make sure that you cast an informed vote! The League of Women Voters of Texas has made it easier than ever to find information about the candidates on your ballot by integrating the same balanced, trusted Voters Guide with an improved online version in VOTE411.

Visit www.VOTE411.org, enter your address, and build a personalized ballot with information about the candidates and ballot initiatives that matter to you. You can even print out your ballot and take it with you to the polls.

The LWV-TX Voters Guide in English or Spanish at www.lwvtexas.org also provides updated, comprehensive information. Included are candidates for US President, statewide offices, regional Courts of Appeal and State Board of Education. Local League Voters Guides covering races and ballot initiatives in their area can be found at http://lwvtexas.org/localleagues.php.

Texas consistently ranks among the lowest states in eligible voter turnout. LWV-TX is committed to making a difference by providing easily accessible candidate and voting information. "By inviting candidates from all in contested races to address some of today's toughest issues and including their unedited responses, we help Texas voters really get to know their candidates," says Linda Krefting, President of LWV-TX. "LWV-TX invites candidates from all political parties and does not support or oppose any candidate or political party," she adds.

When you head to vote, remember to bring your voter registration certificate or other acceptable identification. Photo identification IS NOT required. The list of acceptable IDs can be found at www.lwvtexas.org.

The Voters Guide and VOTE411 will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from now until Election Day at www.lwvtexas.org or www.VOTE411.org. For more information or to request a printed Voters Guide, please call 512-472-1100.

that would be really hard to do... with all the liars in public office now days... and it takes so long to look at each ones voting record..

Remember, just cause the say they are this party or that party.. the proof is in the pudding..

How they vote on the issues...

and the lifers are not doing a good job.. just look at their record...

VOTE OUT THE LIFERS.. AND IF THE NEW GUYS ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB.. VOTE THEM OUT AS WELL..

EXAMPLE: OBAMA CARE... TAXES... AARP.. ( WHAT A JOKE OF A INSURANCE COMPANY) look and see who is snuggled up with the big oil companies.. WHO RASISE PRICES VERY QUICKLY.. BUT MILK US DRY ON THE WAY DOWN...

AS YOU VOTE.. JUST SOME THINGS TO THINK ABOUT...
