LETU TO CELEBRATE 125TH BIRTHDAY OF FOUNDER R.G. LETOURNEAU DEC. 2

What:

LeTourneau University will celebrate the 125th birthday of its founder, R.G. LeTourneau, during a special Founder’s Day chapel service commemorating his legacy of ingenuity.

 

When:

10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Monday, Dec. 2, 2013

 

 

Where:      W

S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center,

2100 South Mobberly Ave. in Longview

 

Who:

The public is invited to join LETU President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford and others to commemorate the life and legacy of the university’s founder R.G. LeTourneau.  LeTourneau was a prolific inventor of earthmoving machinery and amassed nearly 300 patents during his life.   

 

All who attend will be encouraged to “see through the eyes of  ingenuity like R.G. LeTourneau” with a special gift.  Photos will be encouraged.

 

The chapel service will conclude with a wreath ceremony at the gravesites of R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau at the front of the LETU campus.
