Come join Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Founder of Artemis in the City, LLC, Danielle Heard, MS, HHC in an evening of fun and discussion as we watch this eye-opening and entertaining film on corn and its impact on the American food system.

King Corn documents the journey of two college friends, Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis, who learn through hair samples, that they are made of corn. The two want to know how corn got into their hair and food. Ian and Curt become corn farmers and plant one acre of land in Greene, Iowa. With the help of many real farmers and government aid, Ian and Curt successfully grow one acre of corn while uncovering shocking hidden truths about the farm industry and food industry. This is a wonderfully funny and insightful film about a very serious topic that everyone should see.
