Some schools offer their students chances to compete in more than the traditional sports, like football and basketball.

One example is Union Grove ISD.

The Union Grove School Archery Club held a NASP (National Archery in Schools Program) Archery Tournament on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Teams from across the region competed in preparation for the upcoming state tourney, to be held in Belton on Feb. 15.

The Union Grove teams did very well, placing 1st and 2nd in the elementary division, and also placing 1st in the primary division.

See team results below:

High School Division: Union Grove, 4th.

Middle School Division: Union Grove, 2nd.

Elementary Division: Union Grove, 1st and 2nd.

Primary Division: Union Grove, 1st.
