We have almost received our 501(c)3 for the Hope House no-kill Shelter. We are planning to convert the old large animal area at Cherie Nazzal's vet clinic on Highway 154 W. into the Intake Facility for the Hope House.
Animals that are surrendered at the intake facility will be evaluated, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks, worms, and heartworms, groomed, bathed, tattooed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
Please attend our workday at Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital, Highway 154 W, at the city limits, Gilmer, March 9, 1:00 PM, Saturday swith your gloves, post hole diggers, wire brushes, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows. We are going to convert the large animal area into several 6' x 6' runs. We will also clean some beautiful cabinets that were in a fire. Please wear close toed shoes, work gloves, and long pants for your safety.
This would be an excellent project for kids who need community service hours, eagle scouts, government students, 4-H kids, FFA students, and anyone else interested in helping with a community project. Please call 903-734-4909 for questions and to let us know if you want to be part of this worthwhile project.
