The First United Methodist Church invites you to come celebrate Holy Week with us. Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter. Today, March 27, from 3:45 to 6 p.m., all children are invited to join us for a Seder meal to learn how Jewish people celebrate the Passover.

A Maundy (Holy) Thursday service will be held at 7 p.m. on March 28. This celebration will include Communion and a Tenebrae service of shadows as each of eight candles is extinguished. The FUMC choir, with members of the Longview Symphony, will provide music for the service.

Good Friday services will be “come and go” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Sanctuary will be open for personal prayer with Holy Communion for those who wish to receive. A prayer guide and scriptures for reflection will be available. Please enter only at the Montgomery Street entrance.

FUMC is located at 105 N. Montgomery in Gilmer. Everyone is welcome here.
