Golf Comedy Series FORE! Earns Double Honors

Houston, Texas, (October 2, 2013)

Director/Producer Scott Pitney is delighted to accept two prestigious awards on behalf of the golf comedy series FORE! The 2nd Annual C47Houston News & Entertainment Magazine's Best 2012 "Made in Houston" Project named FORE! winner of the "Best Web Series" and "Best Commercial" categories.

"What an honor it is for our sitcom to be recognized," says Pitney, who notes that the award-winning commercial aired on Fox News and The Weather Channel in April. "Our show appeals to people who enjoy a 'Seinfeld' type of humor. Whether they are fans of golf or not, our cast of characters and antics on and off the course are fun to watch!"

FORE! is a web comedy golf sitcom chronicling the adventures and social blunders of a group of golfers, locally known as "The Gamblers." All are members of the affordable Fork Willow Country Club, where they are social outcasts to everyone at the club but themselves. The Gamblers are the opposite of country club snobs, and delight audiences with episodes that are anything but politically and socially correct. Pitney is an avid golfer and member of the private club on which the show is based. This provides a colorful and accurate backdrop for filming.

To date, six episodes have been aired, with a seventh currently in production. Reoccurring appearances by golf pro Tom Byrum, Houston SportsTalk 950's Doug Pike, and the Golf Channel and CBS's Billy Ray Brown add to the plot line. Pitney stars in a lead role, along with fellow cast members Damon Rexroad, Cory Hart, Richmond Werner, Erin Reed, Evan King and Brian Treybig.

FORE! was filmed in August on location at TopGolf by Great Day Houston producer Courtney Perna, who was treated to "golf lessons" by the cast. The segment aired live with commentary by Deborah Duncan and great feedback from the audience.
