The Gilmer Buckeyes (3-1, 7-2) clinched a playoff berth for the 17th year in a row with a 45-30 win over the Atlanta Rabbits at Jeff Traylor Stadium in Gilmer Friday night.

Next Friday night the Buckeyes close out the regular season on the road against the Pittsburg Pirates at Pirate Stadium in Pittsburg.

If Gilmer wins at Pittsburg, the Buckeyes will most likely be playing the Diboll Lumberjacks for the second year in a row in the bi-district round. Should Pittsburg win, the Buckeyes would probably draw the Rusk Eagles.

Clinging to a 17-12 halftime lead over the Atlanta Rabbits, the Buckeyes get a little breathing room from Bran Webb's electrifying 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half.
