The East Texas Community Chorus will present its spring concert, “The Sprig of Thyme,” on Tuesday, March 19, in Longview.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. at Longview’s First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Fredonia St.

Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

The concert is described by its billing as “a cycle of folk songs from the British Isles, arranged by John Rutter.”

The ETCC is a 50-member adult community chorus comprised of area singers ranging from amateurs to professionals.

The ETCC is a part of KC’s Continuing Education Department, and is directed by Jim Taylor, KC Director of Choral Activities.

The program will also feature two pieces of music composed by Taylor: “Gloria,” and “The Name We Treasure.”
