ETBU crowns Homecoming King and Queen

MARSHALL, Texas (10/23/13)- East Texas Baptist University crowned the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of the Tiger football game with Hardin-Simmons University on Saturday evening, October 19, 2013 at Ornelas Stadium. The King is senior Donnie De La Cruz of Modesto, Calif. and Queen is senior Arissa Hatcher of Omaha.  

            Homecoming King Donnie is the son of Brian and Cherrie Renfro. He is a religion major and represented Student Foundation.

            Homecoming Queen Arissa is the daughter of Ernest Hattcher II and Anissa Washington. She is a business major and represented Ornelas Hall.

            Other members of the Court were senior Madison Kauffman of Sugarland, sophomore Levi Malone of Bonham, senior Haden Hollis of Kingsport, Tenn., senior Aaron Hagen of Red Bluff, Calif.,  senior Clinton Salmon of Longview, senior Chloe Jedlick of Running Springs, Calif.,  senior Alyssa Romero of Humble, and freshman Jacob Wadle of Tyler,

            The 2012 Homecoming Queen Lauren Finch assisted ETBU President Dr. Dub Oliver in the halftime ceremony of crowning the King and Queen. In the Homecoming football game, ETBU lost to  Hardin-Simmons University, 55-17.
