ETBU School of Business to Hold Informational Meeting for New MBA Program
MARSHALL, Texas (4/22/13)- The Fred M. Hale School of Business at East Texas Baptist University will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 7, at 6:00 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about the new Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Leadership program scheduled to begin this Fall. The meeting will be held in room 101 of the School of Business building located on the south side of the campus.
“We will explain the degree program specifics, show where classes will be held, and have faculty on hand to answer any questions,” said Dr. Scott Ray, Dean of the School of Business.
ETBU Board of Trustees approved the start of an MBA program last September. The proposed degree program is contingent upon the regional accrediting agency, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACS), approving the University to offer the degree. The decision by SACS is expected soon.
The business graduate program curriculum comprises 12 courses taught in accelerated eight-week terms and can be completed in 16 months. MBA Entrepreneurial students will have face-to-face instruction on campus enhanced with web-based tools and hands on training. The 33-hour graduate program is designed to integrate business theory and application. The curriculum includes the student creating and developing their own business concept and business plan.
