Challengers for US Texas Senate Seat Claim Support for Immigration Enforcement Controls to Include Legal Redress for Victims of Identity Theft

Houston,Tx. Texas challengers seeking the US senate seat of incumbent, Senator John Cornyn have responded to our survey on immigration enforcement strategies. The exceptions INCLUDE Linda Vega, immigration attorney and Senator John Cornyn. Stop the Magnet is pleased with the results of those participating. According to founder, Liz Theiss, "it shows that they are aware that enforcing illicit hiring practices is key to defeating this ongoing problem.”

In a question which has not been considered by politicians but is the final question of the survey, the candidates are asked whether businesses which are utilizing unvetted and illegal workers should be legally liable to victims of identity theft in a court of law. All respondents including Congressman Stockman agree that this is a viable strategy.

Upon careful consideration and review of all the candidate responses, it is the opinion of Stop the Magnet that Candidate Stockman’s responses and record demonstrate his commitment to the enforcement viewpoint and has earned our official endorsement. Respondents include Dwayne Stovall, Reid Reasor, Chris Mapp and Curt Cleaver.

Jenny Beth Martin, president and co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, told WND, “Congressman Stockman has proven himself to be a fighter for freedom who votes in the House of Representatives based on constitutional principles. We need more senators who will do the same.”

I am not a supporter of Senator Cornyn due to his support of "The Patriot Act" and his recent lack of support for fellow Senator Ted Cruz who was trying to oppose the debt ceiling increase. I am in the 36th District in which Steve Stockman is the incumbent U.S. Representative. Rep. Stockman does not hold "town hall" meetings at times and places where real working people can attend, but did allow his staff to organize a"surprise" public birthday party for him. Rep. Stockman talks loud and often about opposing the current administration in D.C., but I can't think of anything he has actually accomplished. Walking out of Obama's State of The Union Address may be considered "symbolic" by some, but it accomplished nothing. There also may be some financial issues as reported by The Houston Chronicle (admittedly a very liberal periodical). You should have kicked the tires and looked under the hood before making this endorsement. Thank you.
