Bruce Junior High Band members recognized for outstanding musicianship

THESE 20 GILMER Bruce Junior High Band Students were recognized Dec. 13 for their outstanding musicianship by being selected to the Region IV ATSSB All Region Band. They are, from left, Maddie Vestal, Lukas Allen, Kahriya Williams, Chris Hanlin, Evelio Mendoza, Brennten Meadows, Ethan Martin, Aaron Brown, Jose Rodriguez, Cameron Gipson, Jaquailyn Martin, Braydon Bates, Mason Haught, Jake Moses, Gladys Gomez, Nayeli Maldonado, Mylah Childress, Harrison Truitt and Martin Orona. Not pictured was Connor Ward. These students participated in tryouts against hundreds of other students from area schools. From those auditions, the judges choose the best in each section to perform with the all region band. The All-Region Clinic will be held Jan. 24 and 25 at Gladewater High School where the students will have the opportunity to work with Ben Davis from Lindale.
