Ridgedale, MO – October 1, 2012 – Big Cedar Lodge is proud to announce and welcome Brittany Roark as Western Regional Sales Manager. Roark will work with group bookings which are defined as 10 or more people. Her focus will be corporate/business meetings and special events such as annual board meetings, incentive groups, sales team meetings, conferences, and teambuilding events. Her territory will include Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and the Western United States.

She joins the Big Cedar team after spending two years directing Heart 4 Children, a non-profit organization in Houston, Texas, which partnered with local businesses, schools, churches, and the public to provide education to children in third world countries. Roark also spent many years as a humanitarian photographer; traveling to places like Ethiopia, Honduras, and Argentina. These experiences have given her a unique understanding about building relationships.

“It’s not what you get out of a relationship, but what you put into the relationship that makes it worthwhile,” states Roark.

Roark graduated from Texas A & M with a BS in Marketing, and it was during her college years that she began building the relationships that would lead her to Big Cedar Lodge’s Sales team. As a summer job, Roark worked at Kanakuk Camps and developed a friendship with the Founder, Joe White. It was through White, and Kanakuk’s connection with Big Cedar Lodge, that Roark found her new position.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the Big Cedar team,” Roark explains, “They have such a high commitment to customer service. I’m always amazed at how many employees tell me Big Cedar is the best place to work.”

Jana Daugherty, Director of Sales & Marketing at Big Cedar Lodge, states, “We are very excited to welcome Brittany to our team. Not only will she bring a tighter focus on customer relationship quality; but she also brings many life experiences that will benefit her fellow employees and future guests that have the pleasure of working with her.”

Celebrating their 25th year, Bass Pro Shops’ Big Cedar Lodge has offered guests rustic elegance in the heart of the Ozark Mountains since 1988. John and Jeanie Morris, inspired by their love of the area, created the popular vacation spot as a special place where conservation, preservation, and family traditions meld.

The luxury resort—complete with Dogwood Canyon Adventure Park—has a full service marina, horseback riding, world class fishing, and trails suited for walking, biking, and hiking. Located 10 miles south of Branson, MO on Table Rock Lake, guests are treated to scenic vistas, refreshing mountain air, and Ozark hospitality—at no extra charge.
