B.W. Craig, a 1976 graduate of Gilmer High School, is using music in his ministry to try to help people by pointing them to Jesus.
Craig pastors True Vision Ministries with his wife Rhonda. The ministry in North Longview was founded by them.
He has just released his own CD of contemporary Christian music, The Grace Project.
“I’ve been doing Christian music for a little more than five years,” said the soft-spoken Craig, who is the son of Ben and Lorene Craig of Gilmer.
In addition to True Vision Ministries, he is involved in other ministries, including chairing Gospel Music Works, and is a founder of the Longview Interdenominational Choir.
He credits growing up in Gilmer and some of the fine educators he had here with helping him find his way to where he is now in life.
Craig especially gives credit to Annette Breazeale, who was his junior high and high school vocal instructor.
“I was a typical teenager-got in a little bit of trouble,” he said. “But it was like she saw something in me.”
Craig also studied piano under the late Rev. Eddie Templeton.
He has his own recording studio set up in his Longview home.
He and Rhonda have two adult sons and four grandchildren.
His CD is available at Rev. E.T.’s Gospel Music Store and at The Wig Center in Longview, and at The Scroll in Tyler.
