Attempted murder, bigamy among reasons for recent indictments

The Upshur County Grand Jury returned 26 indictments when it met Tuesday, seven of them sealed, District Attorney Billy Byrd said.

Judge Lauren Parish set bonds.

Those named in unsealed indictments included:

• Steven Ray Morrow, 47, Big Sandy, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a state jail felony. Bond was set at $10,000 on that charge and he remains in the county jail. He was also indicted for attempt to commit murder, a second-degree felony, and arson, a second-degree felony. Bond was set $50,000 on the attempted murder charge and $25,000 on the arson charge.

• Eddie Lee Bolden, 55, Gladewater, bigamy, a second-degree felony. Bond was set at $25,000.

• Bobby Brian Burnette, 41, Gilmer, driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $10,000, and he remains in the Upshur County Jail.

• James Bradley Marsh, 38, Palestine, driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $10,000.

• George Allen Bailey, 39, Big Sandy,driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Justin Ray Monk, 25, Longview, assault on a public servant, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $25,000, and he remains in the Upshur County Jail.

• Jon Christopher Antonmarchi, 24, Mt. Pleasant, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a state jail felony. Bond was set at $75,000.

• Tammy Pliler Reynolds, 36, Gilmer, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a state jail felony. Bond was set at $10,000.

• Courtney Elizabeth

Jones, 25, Longview, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, Bond was set at $5,000, and she remains in the county jail.

• Domingo Esparza, 49, Mt. Pleasant, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $5,000.

• Noel Garner, theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 in value, a state jail felony. Bond was set at $25,000.

• Fajesta Noble Garner, 40, Gilmer, theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 in value, a state jail felony. Bond was set at $25,000.

• Clifford Harlan France, 45, Hawkins, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felony, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $5,000.

• Brandon Cole Burkett, 19, Gladewater, aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony. His bond was set at $50,000, and he was already in the county jail on other charges.

• Baron Jerrod Harris, 30, Diana, driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $25,000, and he remains in the county jail.

• Horace Ray Dunn II, 51, Cartwright, indecency with a child, a second-degree felony. Bond was set at $45,000, and he remains in the county jail.

Sealed indictments included:

• Driving while intoxicated-subsequent offense, a third-degree felony.

• Delivery of a controlled substance-cocaine, a second-degree felony (three counts).

• Theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000 in value, a state jail felony.

• Aggravated assaualt/threaten with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

• Abandoning or endangering a child, a second-degree felony.
